This project is something I put alot of love into.
It is my very first base and with it whole avatar from scratch, so please be nice because it
is not perfect.
The whole idea behind this avatar was to spread awarness of cyberbullying and mental health issues.
Both are a big part of the VRChat community and it's sad.
What I want to say is that it's completely ok if you suffer from certain mental health issues (I do too) and it is important to not hide it.
Maybe you've been through something others won't understand, which is also fine. You don't need to understand it to have a certain amount of understandin, you know?
But it is important to know what's going on.

Which brings me to cyberbullying.
It is NEVER ok to bully someone for their race, their gender, or whatever. Never.
And it is also by far not ok if you bully someone because they are honest with their experiences in life!
When you tell someone "to go kill themselves", maybe you trigger that person, because of what they have been through.
Not everbody talks about their past or life in general, but if they do, give it some respect that they are open with it.
For some it is hard to just talk about it and think about it again.
For someone who was abused in their childhood it might be really hard to recall those memories and talk about it.
For some it is like going through it again, because they never could handle all this.
Maybe they tried to commit suicide because of this. And then someone tells them to go kill themselves.
I say no. Not everybody has a thick skin like others.
Not everybody who suffers from mental health issues can enjoy life to the fullest again and they have some fall backs, and that is ok!
It is ok!

But always keep in mind that there are things in life to enjoy, and even if it's just the smallest!
May it be a fresh coffee in the morning or the nice weather and singing birds to wake up to. It can be nearly everything! You just have to let it in.
For me it is a good song and a green tea to relax to.

And if you really can't see just the smallest light, take this advice from me and look for professional help.
I know, it's an old song to say this and it does not help everyone. For me it helped me that far to know what exactly happend and what is going on.
It was more of a psychiatry class. But it helped to find a way. It doesn't mean I am instantly healed, no. I have to do that myself, but I can only do it when I keep going.
I've been at a dark point, was alone, no family, no friends, no one and nothing. But I am still here.

And if I can do it, I am sure you can do too! Take a deep breath, do something good for yourself and stay strong!
Don't give up. Don't let others or your problems win.

And now to the avatar!

Kaori is a small, lonely kitsune, too scared to open up and show others how it feels. That's why it wears a mask.
But Kaori is a joyful one and wants to live its life to the fullest, so it always stands up again no matter how hard it is to walk on little paws.
The best thing in its life is watching its Koinobori moving in the wind and listen to the breeze between its fins.
Though Kaori doesn't speak and wears a mask it stil is an expressive creature.

The Koinobori, which means "carp streamer" flows in Japan to celebrate the Tango no sekku, which is now knows as Children's Day. It takes place on May 5th in honor of children to grow strong and in good health.
The reason why I picked a red koinobori for the standart colour is because it represents the elder brother in order of the windsocks and in meaning that Kaori wishes for an older sibling, but only has it as the koi on the pole, always around.

- works with full-body (note: the torso is longer and the legs are shorter then on other avatars)
- is completely made from scratch by me (meshes, rigg, hand-drawn textures)
- toggles: three different masks, Koinobori radial puppet (pole, pole with koi, only koi), Koi switch from pole to hand, paw walking particles
- 7 different facial expressions
- cute little ear twitch and tail animation
- use Unity 2018
- SDK and Shader is in the package, you only need to import Dynamic Bones before the avatar package
- comes with a scene and prefabs in two different colours
